UAOS Hosts Another Successful Crab Feed
The United Administrators of Oakland Schools (UAOS)-sponsored annual crab feed is an event whose proceeds go toward the Marcus Foster Education Institute's (MFEI’s) scholarship fund. Dr. Marcus A. Foster was a beloved and remarkable educational pioneer as well as an educational reformer. He was Oakland's first African American superintendent. Dr. Foster created MFEI as the Oakland Education Fund to support innovation in schools. The financial awards are distributed to Oakland Unified School District's students through their MFEI application and eligibility process. This event is the only district-wide event that engages all of its employees and retirees.
